Thing 19

I think that I could make good use of the Colonial Williamsburg podcasts.  As a social studies teacher this is good content that can be shared with students.  The different podcasts deal with different topics that students need to understand.  This different way of providing students with information may be of great help to some with different learning styles.  I especially like that each podcast gives the option of audio or image enhanced.  http://history.org/Media/podcasts.cfm

A second site/podcast that I liked was the Our City Podcast.  This allows students to research and create a podcast about their local town.  This gets students involved in historical research, writing and producing.  It exposes them to their local history and allows them the opportunity to take pride in their community.  They may learn many things that surprise them.  http://learninghand.com/OurCity/index.html
