I like using a wiki. This can be of great use both in the classroom with students and with my fellow teachers as we work to plan and implement new ideas. This will be extremely useful as we are trying to more fully develop our Freshmen Academy.
A wiki is something that can be edited by many people. These people can all give their input and have it appear fairly quickly. A blog is not as interactive. The blog have many components such as video but you can only comment at a blog. The wiki would allow you to add a video or add a caption or something else to make the page better. I think for sharing things such as homework assignments or announcements a blog is better. For interactive or group work/activities a wiki would be more useful.
